How we write, source and update the articles on Meal Planner Pro, and what they are (and aren't) meant for.
Who publishes our articles
- Articles on this site are published by the Meal Planner Pro team and credited to Meal Planner Pro.
- Our articles are not currently reviewed by a registered dietitian or a doctor. If that changes, each reviewed article will name its reviewer, their credentials and the date of the review.
General information, not medical advice
- Our meal plans, recipes and nutrition guides are general information for healthy adults. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
- If you have a health condition such as diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease or acid reflux, are pregnant, or take medication, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian before changing your diet.
- The same applies to meal plans generated in the Meal Planner Pro app: they follow general dietary guidelines and are generated automatically, so they can contain mistakes.
How we write and source content
- We aim to base nutrition guidance on widely accepted public-health sources and established equations (for example the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for calorie needs).
- Calorie and macro figures in sample plans and recipes are estimates. Actual values depend on brands, portion sizes and preparation.
- When we compare Meal Planner Pro with other apps, we use facts from each app's own website and show the date we checked them. Meal Planner Pro is our product, and we say so.
Updates and corrections
- Each article shows when it was published and, when its content has changed, when it was last updated.
- If you spot an error, email team@meal-planner.pro and we will review it and correct the article where needed.
